Jeff’s professional career spans over 30 years with a focused emphasis on educational facility design. His passion for architecture as a means of creating exceptional learning environments is evident in the 150 educational facilities completed under his direction. Jeff is known for his keen ability to listen and distill a client’s needs into an exciting and functional learning environment that creates a true sense of place.
Jeff’s role includes leading clients though all phases of design including programming, visioning, design development, consultant coordination, and construction phase services. Jeff is also a highly experienced practice leader with real world insight into construction methodologies and how cost-effective materials can best be used to enhance the learning environment. He has an intimate knowledge of multiple construction delivery methods and how each method can best be used to meet a client’s objectives.
Jeff is active in the design community where he regularly participates in design juries at the university and professional levels and has presented at regional conferences on adaptive reuse and student centered learning. Prior to earning his Bachelor’s in Architecture from Georgia Tech, Jeff earned a degree in Fine Arts from Middle Georgia State College, a program which has served as a strong foundation for integrating the arts into his architectural design practice.
Jeff and his wife Loretta are 30-year residents of Marietta where they are long-time members of Grace Community Church and are involved in a variety of community organizations. Jeff enjoys watercolor and acrylic painting, woodworking, landscaping, and rustic furniture design as well as a number of outdoor activities including cycling, kayaking, and wilderness hiking.
