Cartersville Fire Station #4

Fire Station #4

Cartersville, GA

The growing City of Cartersville, Georgia turned to CROFT to conduct a needs assessment, master plan, and design for a new, updated fire station at a location of an old fire station had become obsolete. The site was within a dense commercial area and highly visible to the public. The City’s solution was to create prominent new beacon to the community that captured the character of the fire department and that highlights the 24/7 service they provide to the citizens of Cartersville.

The 12,300 SF design used traditional materials and building elements in a contemporary way – both traditional and refreshingly progressive at the same time.

The design included barracks, training rooms, offices, dining facilities, utilities, parking areas, and road access.
