Horry County Surfside Beach Branch Library

PMH | CROFT helped the Horry County Memorial Library remodel and expand its 20-year-old Surfside Beach Branch, adding new features without losing its small-town library feel. Keeping the original building’s Low Country residential look united the $2.3 million design and reflected the surrounding community. The 18,040 SF interior restructured operations: a public meeting room, a children’s story time room, and administration spaces were added; more stacks were included; and a new circulation desk improved patron interactions.
