New Union Park in Temple, GA

CROFT provided due-diligence, master planning, and full A/E design services for a new 160 acre passive park in the foothills of Northwest Georgia. The Phase I design of the park master plan included multi-use trails, open air pavilions, conditioned event spaces, and restrooms.

The park design integrates historic architectural and landscape precedents of Paulding County from the early 20th Century.  In addition to the passive park, a 12-acre portion on the edge of the park include multi-use fields and associated facilities. Phase I, which is currently under construction, includes 2 fully-conditioned 100-person event halls, 6 picnic pavilions, and 3 combination restroom/concession buildings.

Integral in the design were the highly sustainable, vernacular construction materials such as structural hard-wood truss systems, consistent with those locally sourced in West Georgia & North Alabama in the early 20th Century. Hardware was selected for its durability, vandal resistance, and security.

Leadercast 2017

The World's largest one-day leadership conference simulcast took place on May 5th and we were so happy to be part of it. We were sponsoring the simulcast from Piedmont Church in Marietta. Over 250 people attended at this location and I am sure everyone was inspired just as we were. This year's theme was "Powered by Purpose." Purpose is what defines us, drives us and empowers us. It is the glue for an organization and the fuel for an individual.
The conference allowed the attendees to discover the steps they can take to uncover their purpose, to reconnect to their organization's "why," to attract and engage the right people for your efforts and to thrive as a team.

Proceeds from Leadercast Marietta will go to support a scholarship fund for GRACEPOINT School. GRACEPOINT is a local private Christian school dedicated to equipping dyslexic students with the skills needed to develop into independent and confident learners, through sequential, systematic and multi sensory instruction.

Leadercast had a great agenda this year on Powered by Purpose, and a diverse slate of speakers to cover it from leadership expert and best-selling author, Suzy Welch to producer and actor, Tyler Perry. Each speaker has been selected to help with your journey towards becoming a better leader.

Gracepoint School Renovation

This year we had the wonderful opportunity to work on a building renovation for the Gracepoint School in Marietta, GA. There was no budget for any colored carpet, but thanks to Croft’s initiative and with the help with of Beth Chandler at Mohawk Carpet and Phil Branon at Bonitz Flooring Group, who actually purchased the carpet for the school, we were able to get the school more color! It is really great to have such reliable friends!

Gracepoint originally opened in August of 2012 and began serving dyslexic students in grades 1-8 in a Christian environment. For several years the school had no home of their own. But this August they moved into a newly renovated building they can call their own.

Congratulations Anthony!

We are excited to announce that Anthony Iorillo is now Vice President and part owner of Croft & Associates. Today we had a surprise Ice Cream Social to celebrate Anthony and his new role. Congratulations Anthony!

Anthony has been with Croft & Associates in the role of Senior Project manager for 5 years. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech and Southern Polytechnic University and has over 20 years of experience in architectural design and project management. We are excited to welcome Anthony in this new role.

Meet Our Summer Interns!

At Croft, we are excited to have 2 interns on board with us this summer. They have already completed some exciting work for us and we look forward to see their talents unfold.

Meet Austin: Austin Benway is a student at KSU Marietta campus, majoring in mechanical engineering. He aids our production staff in mechanical and plumbing designs using Revit and AutoCad software as a part-time intern. Austin is from Kennesaw, Ga, enjoys all sports and likes to spend time outdoors fishing, hiking and out on the lake. He chose mechanical engineering because he has always been interested in math and science and mechanical engineering combines the two into a practical and beneficial use.

Meet Parker: Parker Van Dyk is currently a student at the University of Alabama, majoring in Management Information Systems. He is our full-time IT service management intern: designing, delivering, managing and improving the way information technology is used within Croft. He ensures that the right technology and processes are in place for our organization to meet its business goals. Parker has loved computers since he was a child and grew up playing a variety of sports.
