Cartersville Public Safety Headquarters

Public Safety Headquarters

Cartersville, GA

CROFT provided full architectural, engineering, and LEED design services for a 51,000 SF emergency operations center, police, and fire rescue headquarters/operations facility in Cartersville, Georgia.

The innovative LEED Silver project included the consolidation of police and fire department headquarters, 24/7 emergency operations center, fire station, and police precinct into one facility that included a museum displaying vintage police and fire rescue vehicles.

CROFT’s design leadership led to two distinct fully-funded facilities being consolidated into one facility, providing the City of Cartersville significantly reduced energy/resource consumption footprint and an estimated project cost savings of over $1 million.

Key functions that able to be consolidated include public entrance lobby, permeable public parking, public meeting space, fitness center, emergency back-up power systems, storm water infrastructure, and the preservation of additional green space onsite.
