Camp Hooray

  • Location | Jefferson, GA
  • Owner | ESP (Extra Special People)

ESP, Extra Special People, was founded to create a community of support for individuals of all abilities. ESP’s founder noticed an unequal amount of opportunities being presented to children with disabilities. Beginning as one week of summer camp for 21 participants, ESP has grown to serve over 500 participants from over 30 counties in Georgia. Their programs include eight weeks of summer camp, annual after school enrichment programs, and ongoing family support. CROFT has designed a new camp that will serve more of the 2,000 children with developmental disabilities. CROFT is providing architectural and engineering design services for the master plan for Camp Hooray, which will provide day, overnight and weekend camps. Phase I design will include a gymnasium with a stage, ballfield, known as Miracle Field, zero entry pool, playground, parking and maintenance facilities.
