CROFT provided full design services, including site improvements, for the replacement of Fire Station #2 in Marietta, Georgia. The new two-story, three-bay facility is being constructed on the existing site, adjacent to the current station, allowing fire and emergency response operations to continue uninterrupted throughout construction.

Designed with the needs of first responders in mind, the new station includes 12 bunk rooms, a fitness area, gear laundry, lockers, equipment storage, a kitchen, dayroom, offices, multi-purpose space, and an outdoor patio. Each space is thoughtfully planned to support daily operations, efficient emergency response, and the health and well-being of firefighters.

The station’s architecture draws inspiration from traditional firehouses, incorporating classic design elements that reflect the character of older stations while integrating modern amenities and functionality. The result is a facility that honors the history of the fire service while meeting the evolving needs of Marietta’s first responders and the community they serve.
