CROFT provided full AE design services as Architect & Engineer of Record for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the 34,205 SF Volunteer Army (VOLAR) barracks building 3750 and supporting site infrastructure. In support of a nationally recognized design-build construction contractor, CROFT designed the complete rehabilitation/infrastructure upgrade on an accelerated timeline to completely reconfigure interior floor plans and replace all interior walls, flooring, ceilings, lighting, fixtures, plumbing, piping, fire protection, electrical infrastructure, HVAC systems, communications, water supply, roofing, and glass curtain-wall systems to enhance anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) resiliency. In addition to furnishing private rooms and restrooms for 70 soldiers, the three-story, steel-frame structure included EOC/staff duty space, community room, and laundry facilities equipped with both NIPR and SIPR communications as well as modern amenities.
