Kennesaw, GA – Families across Bartow County have a new place to cool off, connect, and create lasting memories as Splashville Water Park officially opens at Hamilton Crossing in Cartersville. Designed by CROFT& Associates, Splashville represents the latest evolution in community-focused parks and recreation facilities that are transforming the resident experience throughout Georgia.

Located adjacent to the new Bartow County Gymnasium and Recreation Center, which was also designed by CROFT and opened in January 2026, Splashville is quickly becoming the ultimate destination for summer fun. The thoughtfully designed aquatic park features multiple pools, a splash pad, exciting water slides, and a winding lazy river that offers enjoyment for visitors of all ages. The park’s name, Splashville, was first unveiled during the Cartersville Christmas Parade as part of the Bartow County Parks & Recreation float, generating excitement throughout the community ahead of its highly anticipated opening.

“At CROFT, we believe the best community facilities are the ones that bring people together,” said Michael Gunn, Project Manager for CROFT. “Splashville was designed to be more than a water park. It’s a gathering place where families can spend time together, children can play, and residents can create memories that will last a lifetime. We are honored to have partnered with Bartow County on another project that enhances quality of life for the community.”

The design maximizes every square foot of the site, creating distinct zones for play, relaxation, and recreation. Young children can enjoy interactive water features and shallow play areas, while thrill seekers can race down high-speed enclosed slides. The lazy river provides a resort-style experience, complete with scenic views and a pedestrian bridge that offers panoramic overlooks of the park. Beyond the aquatic attractions, Splashville incorporates extensive landscaping, colorful plantings, and architectural features that create an immersive guest experience. Decorative fountains in the adjacent retention pond illuminate at night, while the park’s entrance signage welcomes visitors with dynamic lighting effects. A state-of-the-art water management system ensures optimal water quality and comfort for guests throughout the season.

Across Georgia, local governments are increasingly investing in destination recreation amenities that provide residents with enhanced experiences close to home. Splashville reflects this growing trend while setting a new standard for aquatic recreation in Northwest Georgia. From the excitement of the slides to the relaxing pace of the lazy river, the park offers something for everyone and stands as a showcase investment that will serve Bartow County residents for years to come. And if early attendance is any indication, Splashville has already made quite a splash with local families.
